Mega Cav Site Under Way

The place for Wally Szczerbiak and Cavalier action--home of super Cavaliers fans, Mega Cavalier, has a mainsite under way. It is just for a little fun and to maybe get more interest in the blog. Plus, it's a little hard to find things like images in this blog, so I figured I might as well make it all organized into a site.

In addition this is also part of a school project of mine so I'm not just obsessed with making Wally sites. :) That's all I'll tell you for now. The home page is under way although the server it is hosted on is a little laggy right now. Hopefully you will like it and please comment.

...In the mean time I'm going to think of some new way to advertise the site and let Wally be known!

I'd Say Decent

This series? I'd call it decent. Yeah, we swept them, ended the Pistons era, it was nice and all, but blowing out teams and winning by 21 points is just a tad boring, isn't it?

In any case, with our sweep of Michigan, we have a week break--possibly more--until we play either Atlanta or Miami. At the moment it seems like Miami will win due to the fact that they are leading the series 2-1, but that could change.

As we wait for WallyLebron to be named the MVP, James shows the qualities of a possible Finals MVP as he has averaged 30+ points, 10+ rebounds, and 7+ assists in the playoffs. Today's game was great, but not as intense as the Celtics-Bulls game which went into double overtime, leading to the Bulls fantastic win. James had a great dunk and a few nice plays as usual, but it's kind of hard to go "wow" because we see it so often.

Mike Brown sort of reversed Gibson's and Wally's positions; Wally played 14+ minutes going 1-2 shooting and 2-2 from the free throw line (making him 100% so far in the playoffs, 6-6). Along with his 4 points came 3 offensive rebounds and 1 defensive rebound. Sometimes I don't think people give enough credit for Wally's boxing out ability. 3 offensive rebounds is pretty good and it's one of the reasons why the Cavs are on of the top offensive rebounding teams.

In any case, Gibson only got 4 minutes, and in that time 2 personal fouls, which if you ask me is a little pathetic, but I'm not going to talk about him too much since I feel like the plate has been evened out as far as sharing minutes between the two goes.

I realize that without a game for a while we're not going to have much to show so I'll try and post pictures and videos as well as any possible updates on the main site for Wally, just to keep everyone interested. You could always send me an e-mail if you wanted to.

Hasta luego~, as they say in Wally's hometown, Madrid.

Wally in the Optimist

There's a silly little dude who writes "columns" on the Cavaliers and is featured on the Cavs website. I only care for what he thinks the score is going to be and furthermore, who is going to be the dude that makes them go on a run to close out the game. Yes, that's right, all of the Optimist's predictions are all the same-- the game is close in the 4th quarter but we pummel them at the end with somebody giving us a run. Seriously, I could write for the Cavs site.

That aside, I must be mentioning all of this for some reason, right? Of course! Let me just take this moment out to quote the Optimist's prediction for the game's closure:

"In the second half, it’s an unlikely hero – Wally Szczerbiak – who finishes off the series, canning a trio of bombs (and handing out the corresponding high-fives) to put the First Round on ice as the Cavaliers coast to the 93-79 victory in Auburn Hills."

That's right; Wally Szczczczerbiak (from Miami Ohio) is supposed to shut down the Pistons. I'd actually enjoy that a lot, heck, I might even bring down a video recorder just in case something epic happens.

Of course, I'd be happy enough if Wally gets double-digit minutes. It's not like Gibson deserves 15+ minutes on 1 of 7 shooting and 2-5 shooting. I'm not being bias, Gibson is a good player, but giving him minutes isn't doing much. -_- Like, seriously?

Thanks for 500+ hits, everyone.

3-0!

The title says we won, yes, but I did admit to having the slightest bit of doubt until the 3rd quarter. Besides the fact that Mo and West couldn't hit shots and we were either trailing or barely leading most of the time, Wally Szczerbiak was denied time until the 3rd quarter; when he finally got some, it was only a couple of minutes where the commentators went "Wally hasn't gotten many minutes in the past games" and he just inbounded the ball.

Despite that, Lebron led the way--with a lot of dunks, might I add--for the Cavs to beat down the Detroit Pistons. Inside I couldn't help but laugh that the few people who came to the Pistons' stadium had left the stadium mid 4th quarter. The final sqoar (score) was 79-68. Yes, a very low scoring game, that's what you get for not having Wally direct your offense.

I'd go through Wally's boxscore stuff but it's all a bunch of 0's. I had to zoom in just to see the small numbers in the minute column saying "1:50".

I can't wait for Sunday. I am ready to say goodbye to the Pistons, and furthermore, good riddance.

Wally Szczerbiak Interview

The Official Cavaliers site has been updated with a video of an interview with Wally. I'd recommend you check it out.

Watch Video

Here's the interview text for those of you that are interested.

Fred: Hey thanks for clicking on Cavs.com, Wally Szczerbiak along side, Wally how s- it's not strange to you you're used to it, but kinda in part for the fans, when the other team knows you play so well and vice-versa, how much of a still excess is in execution? (*phrase hard to understand)
Wally: It's a lot of excess always in execution and you need uh-- our coaches have us fully prepared for what they're doing, we're just worried about ourselves, and uh, getting in the 2nd and 3rd option, and taking good shots, and playing agressively, and playing Cavalier basketball which starts with defense. And you build an identity throughout the regular season, and then you carry it through the playoffs, and that's our identity: playing defense, and that's what's going to help us win games.
Fred: Sometimes it can be analysis and analysis--you can think too much, how do you filter out that stuff and still play basketball this time of year?
Wally: I think we do a good job of that and the players on this team realize that you can only coach so much, you gotta go out there and perform and let your instincts take over and play the game you love and have fun out there. This is what it's all about, playing in the playoffs is about having fun as a basketball play, coaches have you completely prepared and you have that in the back of your mind, that you've done everything you can to prepare for the game, and then you just go out there and let your skills take over.
Fred: While this team is still focused it still has that ability to remain very loose, is this as good a combination balance as you've seen for this time of year?
Wally: Yeah, I think so, our attention to detail is much better than when I got here last year. Our practices are a lot more...--we're retaining a lot more stuff, we really want to learn from the coaches and the coaches are doing a great job of drilling it and muscle memory, where it becomes second nature in our rotations and our offense and our defense and we actively knowing what the defenses are doing, I think everyone's doing a great job this year and it took time, it took time to be together and it took time to put in all the hard work and coaches work hard and players work hard, and so we just gotta keep it up.
Fred: You guys still though, have fun, when the right moment comes along, to release that pressure.
Wally: Yeah, everyone's got their little niche in this team, everyone's got their little thing that can make someone else laugh, and that also takes time; that's what chemistry is all about... being together, building trust in each other, building that (comradery?) that comes along with time, and the regular season is good for that.
Fred: For sure, thanks Wally.
Wally: No problem.

(Fred continues to talk about the Cavs and the video ends.)

Cavs Make a Win in Game 2

The Cavaliers gather at the 'Q' to take care of business with the Pistons. As usual, Lebron plays fantastically and does his normal "heat checks" (half of which he misses) and his amazing drives.

Since today wasn't all that interesting despite the playoff atmosphere, I'll wrap up what happened quickly-- the Cavaliers head out and pummel the Pistons not letting them lead even once, if I recall correctly. Mo hit's a few pull-ups and the Cavs quickly extent their lead from 2-0 to 10-2 in the first quarter. Despite what I would label as pathetic attempts at not being blown out by the Pistons, the 3rd quarter ends with a 27 point Cavaliers lead, almost making me want to leave-- had I not known the rotation well enough that Wally was supposed to come in around this time, I would have left, too.

Unfortunately, the Pistons bench players showed a little life and our team as a whole (Wally, West, Jackson, whoever else was playing, and Gibson included) started to slip and let up several points. When the lead went under the 20 point mark Mike Brown took out his starters which kind of surprised me-- I just wasn't used to the starters taking off their shirts and I was hoping Lebron wouldn't play the 4th quarter just so I could say "hah, the Cavs are so good Lebron doesn't even need to play in the 4th quarter... in the playoffs!" but my bragging opportunity was seized from me when Wally and co were taken out and Lebron and co substituted back in.

Szczerbiak only had 2 points, once again both off of free throws. He's currently a 100% free throw shooter in the playoffs, which is a good thing, right? It's even better than Mo Williams, the famed 91% free throw shooter in the regular season!

Once Mike Brown felt it safe to place Jackson and Szczerbiak back out for the final couple plays of the game, he did so, and after a horrible shot Wally grabbed the rebound (a big aspect of his gameplay, although he was only allowed 8 minutes he grabbed 3 rebounds) and then dribbled it out.

And then, guess what. You wouldn't believe it.

Wally passed the ball to the refiree, walked over, and...

-High Five-

Funniest thing I have ever seen.

NOTE: Gibson, the overrated point guard, was 1-7 on shooting, doing horrible. Despite his failures he was allowed 17 minutes. His only other stats were 1 rebound and 2 personal fouls. Seriously, I would rather have Kinsey on there-- he could at least play some defense and pass it to Wally. I'm officially giving Daniel Gibson the Most Overrated Bench Player Award. He deserves it, big time. I'm willing to prove this to anyone. If I get even one comment on this, I am going to write a large post on why he is overrated and over-liked by fans.

Mike Brown: Coach of the Year

I'm sure you've heard but yesterday I found out via ESPN text that Mike Brown was awarded the Coach of the Year award. Yeah, if it was me I'd give it to him too, why not-- he did lead the Cavs to a 66-16 record without completely abusing Lebron and Wally...

My only complaint is that Mike Brown doesn't play Wally nearly enough and although our team is good I always like to look for those areas that can be improved and sharing minutes has been a little shaky with Mike Brown in some cases.

Despite this, it's well-deserved. If you want a run down of the whole award, I'd recommend ESPN or NBA.com, of course. I don't get payed to talk about Mike Brown on a Wally blog, MB has no personality and he can't even give a good high-five!

New Site Under Work

So, I've been secretly thinking for a while and I decided I would create a site for Wally Szczerbiak. Not just a blog though, a place where you can download images, watch videos, view stats, and still view the blog and the such. I'm also going to advertise some more so Wally becomes more well-known and isn't so underrated.

Just to prove it, here is some progress.

Wally Szczerbiak: Where Will Amazing Happen This Year

Prepare yourself for the ultimate video...

Wally Szczerbiak: Where Will Amazing Happen This Year?

Toppled

The Cavaliers rocked the Pistons this afternoon making the series 1-0, in favor of Cleveland. In Wally's 12 minutes of play he grabbed a couple of rebounds and assists but only 2 points due to his lack of shooting (he was fouled on his only shot which was just a little over the 3-point line but made both free throws).

There was nothing all that interesting in this game but I did notice that Wally was trying to go for another Block of the Night on a fastbreak play... Wally taught Lebron some things and now Wally's learning something from Lebron-- the chase down block. It'd be pretty tight if Wally could do that like Lebron did but he probably won't because you know, if Wally jumps too high his hair will get all messed up.

Top 10 Bench Plays-- Wally's World

In a fan composition of the "Top 10 Bench Plays of the Season", Wally Szczerbiak hit up a slot just for him and took part in a couple others (including the final game of the season where he almost grabbed a triple double).

"5. Wally's World at the Wachovia Center (Game 79) - In a game that clinched the top-seed in the Eastern Conference for the Cavaliers, Wally Szczerbiak caught fire. Wally tossed in 18 points for the wine and gold including 4-of-4 from 3-point land. In the 4th quarter, the Pacers snuck back within 2 points of the Cavaliers; then, Wally sank a 3-pointer that put the Cavaliers up 79 to 74. The Pacers never got closer than 5 points after that dagger. The Cavaliers will need the long ball from Wally and all the bench guards to keep defenses honest in the playoffs so the floor can be spread for LBJ."

Tomorrow we (as in the Cavaliers) will play the Pistons and get what should be an easy win or a major upset, and if you look at our record there are a lot more wins than upsets. I'm personally going for a sweep to end talk of a "rivalry" (I don't really believe in the Washington and Cleveland "rivalry" either, but that's just me) but I wouldn't be surprised if we lost a single game and we had to play one more game than expected.

That being said I'm not going to rant like I did the other day with a wall of text and I'll leave the rest to the Cavs.

Top 5 Plays & Block of the Night

I don't think I've said this yet but Wally Szczerbiak's block is not only spread throughout youtube but was the Block of the Night and in the Sunday's Top 5 Plays (ranking 4th). I got a better look at it and man, when Wally blocks he sure does do it well.

Final Game of Season, Wally & Gibson Team-Up

I must say I am a little depressed at our loss to the 76ers yet I'm also pleased and I had a great time watching it. I would just feel much better if we, you know, won our last game.

Today Mike Brown (for those of you who don't know, he's the Cavaliers' head coach) decided not to play Lebron, Mo, James, and Joe Smiph. Instead, West started as Point Guard, Sasha as Shooting Guard, Andy as Center, Darnell Jackson as Power Forward, and former-all star Wally Szczerbiak from Miami Ohio as Small Forward.

The game started off pretty evenly with Sasha putting in 4 points, but we had a hard time creating some offense with the new players in the line-up. That's when West and Wally attempted to step up with an And-1 play from West and 5 points from Wally off a long 3 pointer and an iso'd "dead leg" jump shot.

A major problem in the 1st quarter was turnovers. No, it wasn't Wally-- it was Sasha, Gibson, and others. Many turnovers were made and bad fouls were given. Bad passes and bad ball-handling skills led to these turnovers which shouldn't have happened. Thankfully Mike Brown took out Sasha and we started to regain our composure.

By half-time we were up 49-37... of course, we had a little boost from Andy and West. The now overconfident bench started to slip up (minus Gibson and Wally). The 76ers slowly crept up with a large boost by Andre Miller who mimicked Szczerbiak's shooting ability. Despite the problems, Wally and Gibson, the two best players there by far, worked together astoundingly. Wally Szczerbiak obtained several assists by passing the ball to Gibson who consistently scored off the great passes by Szczerbiak. Once again Wally shows his ability to do more than shoot as he directs traffic and grabbed 8 assists leading the team in assists.

Most of Wally's points came from 1-on-1 plays where they isolated Wally against whoever was unfortunate enough to guard him. On one play Wally grabbed an offensive rebound, broke a guy's ankles, and threw the hammer down, making the bench go crazy as did Wally's block two games before.

It came down to 4th quarter where Wally got a short rest, but he soon came back in as he was needed to keep the game in line. The 4th quarter clock ticked down as Wally and Gibson took over scoring most of the last points.

Shot-score-foul-timeout-shot-score-foul-timeout. The last 2 timeouts were used up and the ball was inbounded to Gibson who shot off the dribble and tied the game 98-98 with what was essentially a buzzer beater (it left only 00.6 seconds on the clock). That play was tight and I liked it. I'll give him props, if I didn't I'd just be a Gibson hater and it's hard to hate the guy who ties up the game and brings it to overtime, right?

Overtime started and Wally Szczerbiak and Gibson once again went out to lead the team, with Sasha backing them up. At this point the Cavaliers were having a lot of foul problems and the 76ers were scoring and were going to end up scoring many points off of free throw shots. Sasha had 5 fouls, Gibson had 4, Tarrence Kinsey had 4, Darnell Jackson had 5, and Lorenzen Right had 4.

Here's the rundown of overtime; Sasha starts off with a horrible shot but the 76ers don't score off the stop. Wally goes iso again and drops a shot making it 100-98, Cavs. Szczerbiak grabs his 7th rebound and Sasha attempts to score again but gets utterly rejected by Ratliff. Nobody is able to score so they go to Wally again who plays a veteran move on his defender (a move he learned back when he was an all-star) and draws the foul.

Wally is the biggest veteran on the floor and by far the most skilled of any of the players. This being said, he makes the 1st free throw shot. While he's high-fiving everyone after the shot, he quickly whispers to Wright that he is going to purposely miss in order to get the Cavaliers another possession. He does so and Wright makes the hustle to obtain the possession. Unfortunately Gibson couldn't convert the play to a couple more points and when the 76ers tie it up and the Cavs go to their leader Wally, Szczerbiak finally misses a shot (one of his 3 misses).

The 76ers lead due to clutch free throws and Sasha hits a 3-pointer (finally) to obtain his 20th point of the game on 9-18 shooting in 41 minutes of play. Jackson is fouled and hits his free throws making the game 106-107 Philadelphia. After the 76ers free throws Kinsey goes for a drive and is subsequently fouled out.

With 4 seconds remaining Gibson slips and ends up crossing his opponent and laying in a shot for 2 more, making it 111-110. After a quick foul with 3 seconds on the clock, Miller goes to shoot 2 more clutch free throws... Thanks to Austin Carr's mind games, Miller misses both, and Szczerbiak grabs his 8th manly rebound giving him 8 rebounds and 8 assists for the night.

You probably know what happens now-- the best inbounder on the team, Wally Szczerbiak, passes it to Gibson who SLIPS and can't control the ball enough. The clock runs out and the 76ers barely win it, 111-110.

Still, Wally had the best game of the season in his 42 minutes of gameplay. Wally Szczerbiak was named Player of the Game as well. His defense was purely phenomenal-- he hardly let his opponents score, only had 1 foul that wasn't on purpose (in the 4th quarter) and 2 fouls total compared to everyone else. He didn't give up many points, grabbed 7 defensive rebounds, made lots of hustles, and worked with his teammates to give up less points to the 76ers. Austin Carr and Fred Mcleod (the commentators) commented on Wally's defense many times throughout the game. Wally Szczerbiak was unofficially named the Defensive Player of the Game for his outstanding effort.

In 41 minutes Wally Szczerbiak scored a total of 21 points, the 2nd leader in points (Gibson had 28 points). He shot 72% from the field, the best shooting by far, in 8-11 FG and 2-3 in 3-point field goals.

Wally had a total of 8 rebounds (7D, 1O) and 8 assists, also leading the team in both of those categories. He was 3-4 in free throws, shooting the most free throws (Jackson was 3-3 as well). Wally's World was brought forth as he was also the most solid player of the game with only 2 personal fouls and 1 turnover.

Congratulations to Wally Szczerbiak for outstanding play and the Cavaliers for having such a great season. I'll give a little respect to Gibson as well for his play. Darnell Jackson was also quite good and I give him props as well. Let's go into the playoffs and rock the Pistons!

I just want to point this out quickly. Wally Szczerbiak #10 from Miami Ohio is starting for the Cavs today. Let's all hope he does well.

Wally's Block in Celtics' Destruction

Early this very afternoon the Cavaliers took on the infamous Boston Celtics at the Q. The game was a complete blowout, and so rather than going through all the amazing things, the 31-9 1st quarter led by the Cavs, Lebron James' crazy dunks and fade out shots DEEP in the Q, I'm going to skip right to the ending.

The Cavaliers won it big time 107-76 with the help of everyone but Lorenzen Wright. Lebron managed 29 points and Mo hit 13 points. Gibson did his usual thing and scored 15 points... in a game that was already a blowout. I'm sure I've said this before, but Gibson usually scores when it doesn't matter that much, like when we're already blowing out the team by 20+ points. He hasn't done much anything useful for a while... since like, playoffs. Playoffs? Yeah, that's right. I'm talking about playoffs.

For whatever wicked reason, Wally didn't play until the 4th quarter. I was furious at Mike Brown, but I heard that he didn't play Wally because he wanted him to rest or something. It seriously doesn't make sense, why wouldn't you let one of your top players on the court, especially when he could still be on fire from a couple nights ago? Coaching flaw? At least we won, right?

When Wally DID come though... yeah, it was on. He only took 1 shot, a fading jumper, which he missed, but he managed to get on the board by hitting 2 free throws. His truly amazing play was the block of the night; if Austin Carr was commentating, there'd be a record player of "GET THAT WEAK STUFF OUTTA HERE!!!" or some other cheesy line (perhaps substituting "outta here" for "outta Wally's World"... who knows).

If you didn't see it, you'd better see it now. It's like, one of his best career blocks. In the end, the Cavaliers just rejected the Celtics.

Thanks for 300+ hits everyone-- don't forget to advertise so Wally's Blog gets to 1000. When it does, I'm going to release my Wally mixtape. :O

Wally Quotes from 76ers Game

When Wally went on fire last night there were a lot of things thrown out there; I'm talking about chants and things people said. After the game there were also a lot of things being said-- I just felt I should share some of them with out. If you have some of your own feel free to add them.

"Oh man he's playing like an MVP..."

"Thank you for your game tonight Wally. That should clinch the East!"

"Wally 3 After 3!!!"

"See Andy holding Wally back after that foul? He knows that he's too hot to be touching other people. Cavs got special Wally-proof suits."

"Wally for MVP!"

"Wally DEEP, DEEP, DEEP in the Wachovia Center!"

"WALLY WORLD RETURNING TO FORM!!"

Wally Season High in Win Over 76ers

Tonight was just, completely ferocious.

Lebron James scored 27 points in his double-double (10 assists, 2 rebounds) while driving in and hitting ridiculous jump shots. But, today, the former all-star showed what he was made of.

If you read my blog like so many people do, I last updated showing Wally dunking it hard as the commentator went "that's what's gonna happen! Wally Szczerbiak, resurrected!!!. If not, scroll down a little and watch as I PREDICTED that Wally was going to come out and just whoop these guys.

In another important game, Wally Szczerbiak played 25 minutes (compared to what he used to play, this isn't much) scoring 18 Points on 6 of 7 shooting. It was truly Wally's World as he was 4-4 from 3-point land and 3-7 with his two-point field goals. Wally also grabbed 2 offensive and 1 defensive rebound, a standard for the veteran, and dished out 2 assists to make sure he wasn't ball-hogging.

Walter (AKA "Wally") came out and immediately started draining shots like we all know he can. He hit two 3-point field goals and 2 2-point field goals by the end of the 2nd quarter, giving him 10. He was interviewed at half-time and the experienced basketball player went through the interview nicely as he has done many times back when he used to average 20 points a game.

Late 3rd quarter and Wally came in a little earlier than his normal rotation considering Mike Brown finally recognized that Wally deserved the minutes more than Gibson (who was 2-5 and managed 4 personal fouls in only 8 minutes). Szczerbiak continued to hit his shots as he was assisted by Lebron James and Mo Williams to hit 2 more 3-pointers and go to the free throw line to swish 2 shots (he IS an 85% free throw shooter).

Seriously, whoever says Wally isn't the best bench player is dumb. If he played good defense consistently (he plays good defense if he hits his shots-- just watch him drain and he'll go play more defense in hopes he can go ball' it up on the other side of the court) he would probably start over Delonte West. Not to mention this is his 5th or so game where he's gotten 15+ points, which is the most times for any bench player if my stats are right; heck, it's also more than Ben Wallace (not that Ben is a very offensive player).

With everything all done and said, Wally is amazing and you guys all know it. Tomorrow I'm going to challenge anybody who wants to challenge me to a shoot off and represent Wally as a pure shooter.

Former Power: Wally Szczerbiak

In our win versus the Wizards (where the Cavs showed how pissed we were) Wally came and scored 2 early points and then missed the rest of his attempts (some of which he could have made) until the last 2 points of the game where he hit 2 free throws. He did help with rebounds accumulating 2 offensive rebounds and a few defensive as usual (another great part of Wally's play) but otherwise he just couldn't get it going.

What Wally needs is a resurrection.

Oooohhh!!! THAT'S WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN!!! Wally Szczerbiak, resurrected!!!

Wally's Dad's Heart Surgery

Last year Wally Szczerbiak's dad went through open heart surgery. In an article on the NBA website it covers what happened and goes through an interview with Wally Szczerbiak, as well as lightens up on Wally's dad's background.

http://www.nba.com/cavaliers/features/heart_wally_090209.html

Spurs are Spanked

Yesterday afternoon the Cavaliers whooped the Spurs leading by as many as 24 during the game. I'm going to keep my summary quick today; everything was pretty close with us leading by a little until the 3rd quarter, where the Cavs stepped up and started to extend the lead further and further. By mid 4th quarter the game was pretty much over and the bench players as well as the shower warmers were called over to close off the remaining minutes of the game.

So, why did we win and play so well? If you hadn't noticed, Lebron, Wally, Mo, and everyone else don't like it when they lose to pathetic teams (Wizards) or pathetically (Magic).

Wally started off playing pretty well, grabbing a couple of assists and an offensive rebound to help the general well-being of the team, but his shot just wouldn't go down-- he was 0-2 in FG's and he missed a technical free throw in the 1st quarter (which he usually makes!).

I still don't see what Mike Brown sees in Gibson; "Boobie" was 0-5 (scoring 0), played horrible defense, had 4 personal fouls, and only 1 rebound in a grand total of 25 minutes. Seriously, this pisses me off. You don't play a guy who can't shoot for crap, who plays defense by fouls, can't get rebounds, etc., he has a decent game (5+ points) once a month at most and the only thing he is useful for is dribbling the ball around. Daniel gets too much sympathy and for no good reason. If there is a reason, I'd like to hear it, and it better be legit.

In any case, we won, although it took 3 of our 5 starters in order to step it up and win; Z, one of my personal favorite players, hasn't been playing too well recently, and Darnell Jackson is almost as bad as Gibson. They could've had Wally play as small forward, Lebron as power forward, and Z as center as usual. I can't wait until Anderson and Ben come back, and I just wish Gibson would get injured for the rest of the year so he doesn't keep on wasting minutes and wasting possessions.

Next up: Wizards. If we lose this I WILL stop this blog. Seriously.

Two Losses... In a Row

Two of the most embarrassing games the Cavaliers have played all season, and they are back-to-back games.

First, the Cavaliers were shut down by the Washington Wizards on Thursday night. Everybody on the other team just rocked us and we gave up easy baskets. When it came time to play 4th quarter catch-up the Cavaliers just didn't have it in them and lost 101-109, Wizards. May I remind you that the Wizards are the 2nd worst team in the NBA, just barely better than the Kings? It's kind of pathetic that the Cavaliers would lose to them not only once this season, but twice. It's a slap in the face and these kind of things spark lots of crap talk about the Cavaliers.

Tonight, we faced the Orlando Magic, quickly falling behind but still within a distant that we could catch up. During the second quarter, we started to lose it big time, letting easy drives pass by their noses and giving the Magic free 3-point opportunities. I'm watching the game and I'm just like "really?"

The Cavaliers extended the opponents lead to 17 for them, and sold them even more shots in the 3rd quarter where kids with beards like Rashard Lewis knocked down some more shots deep in the court. I know this all sounds boring and repetitive, but, that's how it honestly was. Dwight Howard drove in several times and got a few dunks as well. Shots were going in as if though gravity was being manipulated-- Wally Szczerbiak was guarding some nub when the nub made a 3-pointer from the right wing... off the backboard!!! In addition it was on Wally, who was literally right in his face. You know something is wrong when people like Lebron, Mo, and Wally start getting schooled by the bench warmers.

After the Cavs helped extend the Magic's lead to 32, Lebron decided to come out of his depression and hit a few shots to close the quarter. Wally then led the bench warmers and the shower warmers out onto the floor where Wally and Gibson made a tag team to hit up 7 quick points, bringing the Magic's lead down to the lowest it had been for over 18 minutes, only a 27 point differential. Wally got sick of trying to play with people like Darnell Jackson who simply tried to show off a little and retired for the day.

The rest, my friend, is history.

Truly two shameful losses, despite the efforts made by people like Lebron (who tried to step up by taking a lot of shots) and Wally (Wally hit his shots in the Washington game and stroked one during the Magic game) . Today I received my 200th hit for this blog so thanks to everyone who bla bla...

Can't you see I'm depressed right now?

Even the Optimist is feeling a little negativity.
