Wally in the Optimist

There's a silly little dude who writes "columns" on the Cavaliers and is featured on the Cavs website. I only care for what he thinks the score is going to be and furthermore, who is going to be the dude that makes them go on a run to close out the game. Yes, that's right, all of the Optimist's predictions are all the same-- the game is close in the 4th quarter but we pummel them at the end with somebody giving us a run. Seriously, I could write for the Cavs site.

That aside, I must be mentioning all of this for some reason, right? Of course! Let me just take this moment out to quote the Optimist's prediction for the game's closure:

"In the second half, it’s an unlikely hero – Wally Szczerbiak – who finishes off the series, canning a trio of bombs (and handing out the corresponding high-fives) to put the First Round on ice as the Cavaliers coast to the 93-79 victory in Auburn Hills."

That's right; Wally Szczczczerbiak (from Miami Ohio) is supposed to shut down the Pistons. I'd actually enjoy that a lot, heck, I might even bring down a video recorder just in case something epic happens.

Of course, I'd be happy enough if Wally gets double-digit minutes. It's not like Gibson deserves 15+ minutes on 1 of 7 shooting and 2-5 shooting. I'm not being bias, Gibson is a good player, but giving him minutes isn't doing much. -_- Like, seriously?

Thanks for 500+ hits, everyone.

  1. Can't score from the bench. I don't understand the change in rotation for the playoffs. And not to quibble, but it's "Miami" or "Miami University", not "Miami Ohio".

  2. Miami (Ohio)

That's what it says in the roster and that's what they say when Wally starts...
